These Terms of Service govern your use of the localleads.nz website and any services provided by Local Leads. By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not engage our services.

1. About Local Leads

Local Leads is a New Zealand-based agency providing local SEO, Google Business Profile management, content creation, technical website audits, and related digital marketing services for local trade businesses in New Zealand.

2. Services

Local Leads offers the following services, as described on our website:

  • Managed Local SEO — keyword research, on-page optimisation, content, and monthly reporting
  • Google Business Profile (GBP) management — posts, review response drafts, profile optimisation, and local schema
  • Monthly blog content — professionally written, locally targeted articles published to your site
  • Technical site audits and fixes
  • Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) — content structured for AI-powered search tools
  • Pay-Per-Lead (PPL) add-on — we manage Google Ads and charge a flat fee per qualified inbound lead

The specific services included in your engagement are defined by your chosen plan and confirmed during onboarding.

3. Minimum Term and Cancellation

All Local Leads plans require a minimum commitment of three (3) calendar months from the date of onboarding. After the minimum term, the engagement continues on a rolling monthly basis.

To cancel, provide 30 days' written notice by email to hello@localleads.nz. Cancellations take effect at the end of the next full billing month following the notice period.

4. Fees and Payment

Fees are charged monthly in advance in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are exclusive of GST (15%) unless otherwise stated.

Invoices are issued at the start of each billing month and are due within 7 days. Failure to pay within 14 days may result in suspension of services.

For the Pay-Per-Lead add-on, fees are invoiced monthly in arrears. A 'qualified lead' is an inbound phone call or form submission from a genuine prospective customer in your service area, where calls last more than 45 seconds. Disputed leads will be reviewed in good faith.

5. Results and No Guarantees

Local Leads will use its best endeavours to improve your local search visibility. However, we do not guarantee specific rankings, lead volumes, or revenue outcomes. Search engine algorithms are outside our control and results vary by trade, location, competition, and market conditions.

Any case studies, testimonials, or calculator estimates shown on our website are illustrative only. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results.

6. Client Responsibilities

To enable us to deliver services effectively, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information during onboarding
  • Grant access to your Google Analytics, Search Console, and Google Business Profile as required
  • Respond to reasonable requests from our team within a reasonable timeframe
  • Notify us of significant business changes (e.g. change of address, new service areas)

We are not liable for underperformance resulting from withheld access or information.

7. Intellectual Property

Content created by Local Leads for your website — blog posts, GBP posts, and copy — is licensed to you for use on your own website and profiles. You may not resell or redistribute this content without our written consent.

All other materials, frameworks, templates, processes, and methodologies remain the intellectual property of Local Leads.

8. Confidentiality

Each party agrees to keep confidential any non-public business information shared during the engagement and not to disclose it to third parties without consent, except as required by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by NZ law, Local Leads' total liability to you is limited to the total fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or loss-of-business damages, including lost revenue, lost profits, or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement at the end of the minimum term with 30 days' written notice.

Local Leads may suspend or terminate services immediately if: (a) payment is overdue by more than 14 days; (b) you breach these terms and fail to remedy the breach within 14 days of notice; or (c) you engage in conduct harmful to our team or reputation.

Upon termination, we will provide any final reports due and you should revoke our platform access within 14 days.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved in the New Zealand courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Active clients will be notified of material changes by email. The current version is always available at localleads.nz.
